Twitter celebrates #2020BTSFESTA, generating 21.1M tweets globally

Twitter was an epicenter for the festivities leading up to global superstars BTS’s 7th anniversary celebrated on 13 June this year, titled #2020BTSFESTA. Fans worldwide joined the conversation on Twitter, generating 21.1M Tweets celebrating the occasion. Conversations about BTS’s anniversary were measured from 13 June to 14 June, Korea Standard Time.

Top hashtags were driven by the official hashtags for BTS’s anniversary on Twitter, #BTS, #방탄소년단, #BTSFESTA2020, and #BTSARMY, as well as the unique face emojis for each member of BTS. One notable hashtag that also trended was #BANGBANGCON, as fans shared excitement for Bang Bang Con: The Live concert event.

Conversations around BTS’s anniversary peaked on the Korean date of their anniversary, 13 June at midnight KST, with 3.9M Tweets; conversations around #BANGBANGCON approached this high, peaking at 3M Tweets during the concert in KST.
