After Japan, KCON is now in America! The first US stop was New York, wrapping up after two days to great success. Fans from all around the world were able to take a closer look at their favourite idols through exclusive Twitter-only content. With Twitter being the best place for KPop fans to see what's happening and join in on conversations, it goes without saying that it was the social platform of choice for KCON.
From 6 to 7 July, top Kpop bands like NU'EST (@NUESTNEWS), SEVENTEEN (@pledis_17), IZ*ONE (@official_izone), ATEEZ (@ATEEZOfficial), TXT (@TXT_Bighit), SF9 (@SF9Official), (G)I-DLE (@G_I_DLE), VERIVERY (@the_verivery), AB6IX (@AB6IX), fromis_9 (@realfromis_9), The BOYZ (@WE_THE_BOYZ), and EVERGLOW (@EVERGLOW_twt) came together for an amazing two-day Hallyu Wave convention.
Impressively, #KCON19NY has amassed nearly 22 million impressions across its two Twitter handles @KCON_Global and @KCONUSA on July 6 and 7th. There was also a total of 4.7 million video views of Tweets from the two accounts for 2 days. These unique video Tweets included gifs created with the “Twitter Mirror” on the red carpet, which featured a camera that spun 360 degrees around the Kpop celebrities.
In addition, Kpop band VERIVERY (@the_verivery) and SF9 (@SF9Official) did a very special KCON version of the #TwitterBlueroom Q&A session, where they answered fans’ questions.
KCON will move on to its second US stop at Los Angeles (15th to 18th August) and finally Bangkok (28th - 29th September). Stay tuned by following #KPopTwitter, @KCON_global, @KCONUSA and @KCONThailand for new updates and exclusive live streams, only on Twitter!
