What do a very cute baby dragon, @chrishoy and personalised Mother’s Day candles have in common? Apart from being the ingredients to a potentially very strange weekend, they’re also all part of our March campaign creative round-up. This month, brands including @DoritosUK, @Apple and @virginmedia were on-hand with some super visual campaigns.
Alongside some fantastic creative ideas, we’ve seen lots of brands using Twitter Moments to tell their stories in really fun and interesting ways. Let’s take a closer look.
@DoritosUK
First up we have the @DoritosUK rather brilliant #HeatWillCome campaign starring our favourite character this year, a cute and fiery baby dragon. The campaign follows the adventures of a young guy and his pet dragon and all the mischief they get up to. @DoritosUK nailed its ad formats on Twitter, making use of conversational video, gifs, and even a colourful custom emoji to get nacho fans on Twitter involved in the conversation.
@Apple
It always makes us blush when we see Tweets take a starring role in ad campaigns. That’s why we loved @Apple’s new iPad pro campaign. The brand took real-life tech conversations on Twitter and turned them into brilliant mini-clips to advertise its powerful new iPad. Take a look at some of the Tweets here:
@VirginMedia
Virgin media knows how much people love to indulge in their favouriteTV shows - and we know that the TV chat on Twitter is massive. We loved how @Virginmedia brought TV and Twitter together with this Hype Chart using Twitter Moments to showcase the must-watch shows in March. The Kardashians and Geordie Shore in the same moment - you’re speaking our language @VirginMedia. Plus the 80’s Moment cover is (100% emoji).
Cars, racing, speed were all elements of @SkySportsF1’s fast-paced campaign around its Formula 1 coverage this month. This campaign was a perfect example of how cutting and repurposing assets can make your content work harder for longer. The brand also included subtitles, which are great additions to videos designed for mobile viewing. Nice work.
This month @Tesco were on hand to mediate the pre Mother’s Day mad panic with a Moment offering inspirational tips for thoughtful gifts and recipes for your mum. So long petrol station flowers, we’ve made a lovely personalised candle instead.
@HSBC_UK brought us a rather lovely and heartwarming campaign video starring cycling champ Chris Hoy in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. Take a look at it here
And finally, it was April Fool’s Day at the weekend, and brands responded with plenty of creativity. Check out some of the best in our Moment roundup.
