“The X Factor” fans can skip the ballot box on this vote, and take to Twitter instead.
Fox is gearing up for its season premiere of “The X Factor” on Tuesday by allowing fans to judge the judges through a Twitter hashtag vote.
The show’s new lineup of judges, including Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, have embarked on a race to see who is America’s favorite “The X Factor” judge based upon who can get their hashtag trending first.
Each judge was asked to pick their own hashtag for this “hashtag war”, and will create fun banter back and forth on Twitter highlighting the hashtags in their Tweets. Then, The X Factor will house a poll asking fans to vote for their favorite judge, in essence, counting hashtags as a vote.
Alright guys! Tweet your favorite judge some love! #MrNiceGuy #QueenD #ItsBritney #ImEpic ow.ly/i/VdMu

Viewers will also be encouraged to vote for their favorite judge via digiboard displays across the country, including Times Square, starting this morning.
The results will be announced during the two-night season premiere of the X-Factor on Wed., Sept. 12 and Thurs., Sept. 13 on 8/7c on Fox.
Happy Tweeting!
