@TwitterAU, in partnership with @Tropfest, is excited to announce that the winner of the inaugural #TROPVINE competition is @teekenng! Congratulations Ken! Here’s the winning #TROPVINE entry:
@teekenng was selected from a shortlist of 20 extremly high quality @VineApp entries from all around the world. He spent over ten hours conceptualising and creating his winning six second film.
Ken wins a VIP trip to @Tropfest Australia 2014, including QANTAS flights to Sydney, luxury accommodation at QT Sydney, Nikon camera gear and lunch with the Twitter Australia team.
While @teekenng took out the main prize, here’s a look at three of our other favourite entries from an impressive bunch:
Michael Laverty, @TropFestTropfest Managing Director, says he was really interested to see how @VineApp was used by filmmakers.
“The Vine platform is such an interesting space for filmmakers; the six second time frame really challenges users to tell stories in unique and creative ways, and we’ve certainly seen that demonstrated in the entries received for #TROPVINE. It is an exciting space to watch.”
For many #TROPVINE entrants and other filmmakers, attention now now turns to creating their short films to be entered into this year’s Tropfest Australia competition, which is open for entries from 13 August and closes on 2 October.
