Quick note on methodology: we only allow one Tweet per account (sorry BTS fans). Special mention goes to this Tweet from Yusaku Maezawa which set the record for most Retweets ever, but was excluded from the list as we don’t consider Tweets that offer payment in exchange for followers or Retweets.

Conversation is Twitter’s superpower, so it’s no surprise that open-ended questions and viral memes like “sco pa tu manaa” and “bomboclaat” dominated this year’s most Retweeted with Comment list. Quick note on methodology: this list includes only the top Tweep per meme format.
Most discussed categories:
Quick note on methodology. Instead of ranking by overall Tweet volume, we’re ranking by the number of people Tweeting about each topic. We wanted to know what got the most people talking, not just what was the loudest.
