It’s been a huge week at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona with brands taking the wraps off of huge launches, including the return of the much loved @Nokia3310. Every player in the tech industry has been here talking about everything from exciting new mobile devices, to 5G, connected cars, drones and robots.
People have been turning to Twitter all week to see what’s happening. There have been more than 780K Tweets mentioning #MWC17 since conversation started to build last week.
The Twitter team has been in Barcelona throughout the week capturing some of the buzz and delivering a host of diverse content. There have been daily Periscopes with @CNBC,Twitter Moments and live Periscope 360 broadcasts with some big names.
To help highlight how Twitter brings people closer to their passions, we partnered with sports, news and entertainment celebrities from Barcelona for a series of Live Periscope 360 broadcasts. These i ncluded a tour of the@FCBarcelona stadium, a walk to the famous Gaudí house“La Pedrera” and watching the @policia hostage rescue team show us their skills in a thrilling demonstration.
CNBC’s Tech Correspondent @ArjunKharpal joined us everyday for a live Periscope to give us his view about the big announcements and stories at #MWC17. We also went live with @nokia CMO Barry French (@bhfrench), who talked to Twitter about the huge buzz surrounding the company at this year’s Congress.

Mobile World Congress for Twitter was all about video. It has transformed the way people express themselves on the platform and how brands are able to connect with their audience.
Video is a big part of Twitter and the creative possibilities for brands to influence their audience are almost endless.
