Staying connected to #ElectionDay with Twitter

Today is the first Tuesday of November in the U.S. so it is Election Day –– and local elections are happening in all 50 states across the country.

In September, Twitter partnered with National Voter Registration Day (@NatlVoterRegDay) to host a discussion about the importance of staying connected, both online and in the polling booth, with the first step always being voter registration.

As Americans across across the U.S. turn out to vote, Twitter can be a resource to help you cast your ballot, follow accounts for U.S. secretary of state offices and voter information, and share your civic engagement experience by Tweeting #iVoted to unlock a custom emoji.

For the fourth year in a row, Twitter is continuing our partnership with The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Voting Information Project (@VotingInfo) to make it easier for you to locate your polling place and make your voice heard at the ballot box.
