This August we announced the general availability of our new Gnip 2.0 APIs and laid out the plan to sunset all Gnip 1.0 endpoints on December 1, 2016.
We’re happy to report that many Gnip customer are now using the 2.0 endpoints, and enjoying the enhancements that come with them.
The time has come to say goodbye to Gnip 1.0. All Gnip 1.0 APIs will be disabled on December 1, 2016, a hard deadline that is quickly approaching.
In order to avoid disruption to your data stream, it’s important to get started with your migration today.
Migration should be straightforward—but depending on your integration, it may take some time. To make the process as painless as possible, we’ve built support documentation and migration guides for all Gnip 1.0 products.
If you’re a PowerTrack customer, we’ve made the transition easy with a Rules Migrator that identifies which of your 1.0 rules are 2.0 compatible, flags rules that need modifications, performs translations when possible, and identifies rules that are incompatible.
Thanks for the excellent rule migrator. It was a huge help in estimating the amount of effort the migration would take.
