Beyonce makes two appearances on Top Popular tracks as a featured artist. The first is on Drake’s “Can I” that reached #5. The last time Drake and Beyonce paired up was for the track “Mine” from Beyonce’s self-titled album. The second is “Feeling Myself” by Nicki Minaj which charted at #6 after the music video debuted exclusively on Tidal, generating massive buzz.
Rising rapper and New Orleans native, Pell (@PELLYEAH) makes the charts with “Got It Like That” (featuring G-Eazy), which came through strong at #1 on both the Emerging Debuts and Top Emerging tracks charts, and #2 on the Popular Debuts.
Kendrick Lamar made his second appearance on this week’s charts with “Partynauseous.” Kendrick collaborated with Lady Gaga during the making of his 2012 album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” to record this track. It did not make the final cut of the album and parts of it (without Kendrick Lamar) were reportedly used during Gaga’s “Artpop” tour. A full version of the song surfaced recently and reached #5 on the Popular Debuts.
@SageTheGemini is #9 on the Popular Debuts with “Good Thing” (featuring Nick Jonas). This track was released shortly after Nick Jonas’ widely Tweeted about performance at the #BBMAs.
