Today we’re pleased to announce that Gnip is adding a data source from NewsCred, a leading content marketing platform that helps brands manage the entire content marketing process from sourcing and creation to distribution and measurement.
The new data source, called NewsCred firehose from Gnip, offers access to a stream of normalized, topic-tagged article content from a network of more than 5,000 sources representing the world’s top news, finance, entertainment, and general interest publications.
By uncovering hidden context via news articles and stories, the NewsCred firehose will help companies gain a clearer view of the “why” behind brand mentions.
Twitter’s acquisition of Gnip brought with it a carefully selected list of data reseller partnerships that represent the top social media platforms. The addition of the NewsCred firehose will let our customers pair relevant news content alongside Twitter data as their clients aim for a more thorough understanding of what people are saying about their brands.
In addition to Twitter data, Gnip continues to provide access to social data sources such as Tumblr, Foursquare, WordPress, and Disqus. Each of these adds unique context to the global social conversations that matter most to our customers.
