There’s sharing your Olympic experience, and then there’s American figure skater Jason Brown (@JasonBSkates).

Since helping #TeamUSA claim the bronze medal in the free skate team event on February 9 and taking 9th place individually in the free skate five days later, Brown returned to the ice to live-tweet the women’s figure skating short program and free skate on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.

The enthusiasm he exhibits while skating has translated seamlessly to his live-tweeting, which fueled massive engagement. As a result of the two days of live-tweeting, Brown gained 6,120 new followers and drew 10 times as many Retweets (17,762) and 5 times as many favorites (18,611) as the week prior, according to Twitter internal data. This Tweet alone has received more than 15,000 Retweets.

Brown sent this appreciative Tweet afterwards and saw dozens of responses from fans thanking him for live-tweeting. One Tweet suggested he be a commentator in the future; others asked him to live-tweet again. He tweeted that he would be more than happy to do more.
