New users can sign in to TweetDeck using Twitter

Beginning today, people new to TweetDeck can sign in using their Twitter username and password rather than creating a separate TweetDeck account.

Right now, this capability will be available just to new TweetDeck users. Those already using TweetDeck will get the new feature in the coming weeks. (If you’ve signed in to TweetDeck today and can’t see your usual columns, you’ve probably signed in with your Twitter account by accident. Sign out and click the ‘TweetDeck old timer’ link above the sign-in form and everything will be back to normal.)

When single sign in is fully available to all current users, we’ll also make it possible to seamlessly integrate your current TweetDeck settings and preferences. Stay tuned!
