As a @onecityonebook sponsor, we were thrilled to host @boingboing editor and award-winning author Cory Doctorow (@doctorow) to read from this year’s selection: his popular young adult novel Little Brother.
He had a bit of fun with the book promotion:

Created by our neighbors at the San Francisco Public Library (@SFPublicLibrary), One City One Book is an annual citywide literary event that encourages a love of reading and a community connection. One City One Book brings members of the San Francisco community together around one book each year through group discussions and events around the city.
A city-wide book group is yours with @onecityonebook.
On October 1, we co-hosted a reading at Twitter HQ from the book, which involves a teenage hacker using his tech skills to fight back after a terrorist attack on BART. For a city like San Francisco, deeply interested in the nexus of technology, privacy and security, human and civil rights, this tale seems a perfect One City One Book choice. Our own Dana McCallum is a member of the selection committee that helped select Little Brother as this year’s pick.
