Twitter is bringing its popular #FanTweets videos to K-pop for the first time, starting with #FanTweets from BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ. ROSÉ’s #FanTweets videos, released via @BLACKPINK on April 15 KST, feature the superstar artist replying to fans’ Tweets about her first solo single album, stage performances, her dog ‘HANK’ and things about daily life.
#FanTweets are a custom type of exclusive content on Twitter, where celebrities record their responses to real Tweets from fans. #FanTweets help to bring fans closer to their favorite artists and give them a chance to hear straight from the artists themselves. Also, witty, vibrant, and authentic tweets from fans will provide a different fun experience unique to #FanTweets.
It recorded over one million cumulative viewers, 350,000 likes, and 88,000 retweets (as of today) from fans all around the world, proving her popularity.
Global fans expressed their infinite love for Rosé through Twitter by saying things like, “Rosé’s voice is fantastic,” “Too beautiful,” and “Rosé’s purple outfit is perfect!” Rosé replied, “I’m so thankful!”
Rosé showed off her unique charm through the #FanTweets video. Unlike her usual charismatic appearance on stage, she showed her natural and cheery self and honestly expressed her affection for the fans who supported her with various tweets.
She said in the video for her dog ‘HANK’ that she feels the best when people compliment HANK, which showed her never-ending love for her dog.
Rosé showed her honest charm by saying, “I’m not very good at winking,” and tried to wink as a reaction to a fan’s tweet that said, “She’s so good at everything, but she can’t really blink that well.”
The Twitter Music account (@TwitterMusic) congratulated the release of Rosé’s #FanTweets video by changing the account name to “Twitter Music is listening to On the Ground.” Twitter Music also changed the profile image to “On The Ground,” the title track from Rosé’s solo album.
At the end of the #FanTweets video, Rosé expressed her affection for BLINKs, the official fan club for BLACKPINK. She said, “I once again realize how precious our dear BLINKs are. I'd like to say I'm so grateful and thankful to BLINKs.”
After watching the #FanTweets video, fans around the world expressed their happiness by saying, “I can’t believe it,” “I love you so much, Rosé,” and “I’m so touched.”
