Twitter is the best and fastest place to see what’s happening in India and across the world. As the 17th Lok Sabha completes its first 100 days, Twitter India joined hands with India Foundation to release a video series, titled "First 100 Days", that featured nine first-time Members of Parliament (MP).
In line with our commitment to serve the public conversation, the series enabled these first-time MPs to share their vision for a new India and aspirations for the respective constituencies with Indian citizens across the length and breadth of the country as well as those living overseas. This also gave them an opportunity to speak about issues close to the heart of their communities, such as agriculture, employment, adoption of emerging technology, water conservation and povert, amongst others.
Recorded in English, Hindi and their respective regional languages, the series featured:
Arvind Dharmapuri, Nizamabad, Telangana
The MP for Nizamabad states,“Twitter empowers me to discuss new ideas and understand people better. I have also effectively leveraged the service to resolve issues faced by Non-Resident Indians from Nizamabad Constituency."
Jothimani, Karur, Tamil Nadu
The MP from Karur, Tamil Nadu said, “Twitter is a powerful platform that allows me to interact with people, share views and seek suggestions. It enables to keep the public updated on my work and performance.”
Pratima Bhoumik, Tripura West, Tripura
संसद के सदस्य के रूप में पहले 100 दिन पूरे करने पर @PratimaBhoumik ने बताया कि कैसे ट्विटर के माध्यम से उन्हें जनता से लगातार जुड़े रहने का अवसर मिलता है|
