To celebrate the 2nd International Day of Yoga on June 21st, we’ve launched our first-ever emoji with a yoga design. From today to Wednesday morning, you can Tweet using hashtags #YogaDay or #योगदिवस to get the special yoga asana and tricolour emoji. Yoga enthusiasts across the world can participate in the yoga day conversations on Twitter using this special emoji. The emoji will delight users to Tweet, share, and celebrate their love for yoga on our global platform for live conversations.

The special #YogaDay emoji was launched by the Prime Minister of India (@narendramodi) from his personal and official accounts:

In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as International Day of Yoga to be celebrated across the world, as a way to encourage people to practice yoga to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually. To make yoga a daily habit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) has been Tweeting about yoga day, and sharing inspiring messages through Tweets, photos and videos. Other politicians and dignitaries across cities, states, and even countries have joined in the conversation on Twitter and are celebrating #YogaDay using the special emoji.
