“Bigg Boss” season 9 becomes the most popular TV show on Twitter of 2015

As reality TV buffs were served an exciting season of “Bigg Boss”, social enthusiasts were in for an even bigger treat: season 9 (#BB9) trumped its own record to become the show’s most Tweeted season yet. It garnered more than 5.7 million Tweets this season, a whopping 70% higher than season 8.

The excitement on Twitter peaked during the final episode when contestant Prince Narula (@princenarula88) was crowned the winner. The season finale saw a 119% increase in Tweet volume in comparison to the previous year’s final episode.

#BB9 Tweets by @BiggBoss & @ColorsTV generated a total of 168M+ organic impressions during the season.
