Summer’s here, and this month we’re coming with some really fantastic campaigns from brands as diverse as @VodafoneUK and @FandFClothing. So without further ado, let’s take a look at what they got up to.
1. @VodafoneUK
Right, let’s kick off with something really juicy. This year we teamed up with Vodafone UK to live stream the Capital Summertime Ball. Excellent news for music fans who were able to watch amazing artists like Stormzy and Bruno Mars live on Twitter. Throughout the day, @VodafoneUK Tweeted updates, pictures and videos to make sure its brand stayed at the heart of the #CapitalSTBall conversation. We loved it!
2. @ThreeUK
Three UK knows its customers would rather spend their hols quaffing cocktails in the sun than scrabbling around looking for the nearest cafe with wifi so they can share their pics. Its latest campaign, #GoRoam, features our favourite animal of the summer so far - hello flamingo befeathered giraffe, loving your look. As well as posting videos from the TV ad, @ThreeUK used 360 Video to tempt its followers with a view from Sydney Harbour.
Tesco’s clothing line F&F knows that TV and Twitter go hand-in-hand and the campaign it launched in June perfectly proves it. To announce the launch of its new active-wear line, the brand teamed up with fitness fanatic and all-round good egg Davina McCall (@ThisisDavina) in a TV takeover. For half an hour, Davina ran a workout sesh during the ad breaks. On Twitter, @FandFClothing used a Conversation Video card to remind people about it.
4. @VirginMedia
@VirginMedia used video on Twitter to promote its #AllTheFootball TV package. This is a great example of how to create thumb-stopping video on Twitter - the video is bright and colourful, and most importantly, the subtitles make it easy for people to follow in a sound-off environment. Nice work @VirginMedia.
5. @SamsungAus
How’s this for customer service? @SamsungAus used a Direct Message bot to help its customers pick the perfect telly. The entry point to the experience is found in the Tweet below. Twitter users were then guided to direct message conversation with a friendly bot asking them a few easy questions. @SamsungAus, you can slide into our DMs any time.
6. @XboxUK
Lastly, @XboxUK introduced its new console to gaming fans on Twitter with this fantastic video below. It’s a pretty epic video that has racked up millions of views.
