Less than 24 hours after the news broke of his birth, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left hospital today with their baby son.
They paused for a few short questions from the press before returning to Kensington Palace by car. In the moments following the appearance, mentions of the story on Twitter reached more than 18,000 Tweets per minute, just short of the 25,300 Tweets per minute that was seen when news of the baby’s birth broke last night.
