Twitter takes you to the heart of the Cheltenham Festival, one of the biggest weeks of the year for horse racing enthusiasts across the UK and Ireland.
Cheltenham Races (@CheltenhamRaces) and The Jockey Club (@TheJockeyClub) will be tweeting with the official hashtag #CheltFest throughout the event, which takes place from the 12-15 March. Hashtags join conversations together and help you discover new content on Twitter.
Here’s a Tweet from earlier today from the organisers as they prepare for the Festival:
What a view from the hill !! twitter.com/CheltenhamRace…

@TheJockeyClub will be a great source of content throughout the Festival, with news, results, photos, and audio interviews from race goers, trainers and former jockeys. The Jockey Club account will also use the hashtag #OHCheltFest for reporting snippets of overheard conversation.
The BBC, which broadcasts all 27 races from Cheltenham on Radio 5 Live and Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, kicked off their coverage last week with #CheltPreview, a Twitter only preview night, via @PaddockPreview, a new Twitter account for the occasion. BBC Sport (@BBCSport) will be tweeting about Cheltenham, as will BBC horse racing experts Cornelius Lysaght (@CorneliusRacing) and Frank Keogh (@HonestFrank).
And naturally, with the TV coverage being on Channel 4, the main C4 presenter and nation’s favourite Clare Balding (@ClareBalding) will provide followers with updates from the festival, alongside @Channel4Racing.
