Recently, we announced a new partnership with Transport for NSW on a new, Australian-first service to automatically alert customers on Twitter about delays or disruptions while travelling on the suburban and intercity train network in NSW. Today, we’re excited to announce that this service is now live.
Sydney commuters can sign up to receive the alerts by heading to @TfNSWAlerts on Twitter and tapping the Message button.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to sign up to the new Transport for NSW Alerts service:
The new service gives commuters the ability to define specific stations and travel times to produce personalised alerts based on selected routes, locations and typical travel hours which will help busy locals get to where they need to be more efficiently.
This innovative new commuter experience on Twitter has been produced in collaboration with Australian developers @proxima_io and @AppJourney as part of Twitter’s ongoing commitment to Smart Cities.
